~~~~~ Making it all come together ~~~~~
"For those interested in Bob Jones University HomeSat, and wanting to inquire regarding how to set up for taping, and how to work a schedule for the home, other children, and get it all together ... the following is for you!
This is where I initially begin, before transferring the information to MY forms. Every year, I download my child's schedule, then figure out the Primary taping. I try to get the first broadcast so if weather, or forgetting to change the tape occurs, I have another opportunity. You can download each child separately, and/or together with other children. Try then to sort by Day of the week.
After reading a wonderful book called "Managing Our Homes", I decided to make out my schedule in MS Word, and make it attractive by adding clipart; something I could hang on the fridge, to be accessible during the day. As I only have 2 children, (and as I had one that was quite young, and needed lots of "mommy" time/ one on one,) this schedule reflected how I could make time for both children's unique needs, as well as taking in account household duties, and child training (chores, personal care, etc).
The Children's Chore Chart is a separate form, which breaks chores into Morning, Afternoon (after school) and Before Bed Routines.
If you have more than two children, you may need to change page format, and print yours out in "landscape" format, OR have more than one page.... Whatever works for you is great....
Please Save these off, then edit them. Any Netscape MS WORD Plugin will not allow you to edit on line documents. You will need to save them off to your own hard drive, then edit them, perhaps saving them with a different name, to allow you to go back to original if needed."
I just hope this gives you some ideas for making it all come together for your family and yourself, for the purpose of reducing stress, running your day more smoothly, and honoring our Lord.
How to Figure Your GPA
The grades you receive are given as letters. Your GPA, or grade point average, is computed as a number. Northwest also allows grades to be given with a plus or a minus. Here is the grading scale:
Grade Points
A 4.0
A- 3.7
B+ 3.3
B 3.0
B- 2.7
C+ 2.3
C 2.0
C- 1.7
D+ 1.3
D 1.0
D- 0.7
F 0.0
Take your grade for a course and convert it to points. Multiply those points by the number of credits the class was worth. Add up all the points from all your classes. Divide that number by the total number of credits you took.
Here's an example.
Course Grade Points Credits Total
Health B 3.0 2 6.0
English B+ 3.3 3 9.9
Math A- 3.7 3 11.1
Biology B 3.0 4 12.0
History C 2.0 3 6.0
Total 15 45
45 points divided by 15 credits equals a 3.0 GPA
