For Breach or unfavorable Presentation prior to Onset of Labor, try Pulsatilla 30c, 2 times per day for 3 days, discontinuing if baby turns, or Pulsatilla 200c once, then repeating once if necessary. If the woman does not fit the overall Pulsatilla picture, or if the baby needs to remain in her present position for whatever reason, the remedy may not work.

Some midwives have reported good results from routine recommendation of the following prenatal regimen.

  • Cimiguga Racemosa 12c  (To ease fear of giving birth.)
  • Cimicifuga Racemosa or Black Cohosh acts synergistically with Caulophyllum Thalictroides   (To ready the uterus for labor.)
  • Black Cohosh (helps the uterus to contract in a coordinated and effective way.)
  • Caulophyllum Thalictroides 12c (To make contractions more effective and speed up delivery.)
  • Arnica Montana 12c (To avoid the physical trauma sometimes associated with childbirth and maintain strength necessary to deliver the baby.)

Helpful Regimen: Start taking 4 weeks prior to due date.
Take each remedy once per week, alternating as follows:
Cimicifuga       3-5 pellets on Monday
Caulophyllum  3-5 pellets on Wednesday
Arnica             3-5 pellets on Friday

Pre-eminent Female Remedies:

Pulsatills, Natrum Muriaticum, and Sepia are the three most commonly seen female remedies. Most women will change to a Pulsatilla type when pregnant. Midwives should familiarize themselves with these remedies by reading about them in-depth. Catherine Coulter's Portraits of Homeopathic Medicines is highly recommended  for this purpose. If women are presenting a strong picture of a remedy during pregnancy, difficulties during labor and birth may be averted by prenatal treatment.
